Baarìa Film Festival is sensitive to the issues of environmental, economic and social sustainability for the protection of our planet. For this reason, BFF is committed to reducing its impact on the environment, also tries to raise awareness among guests and the public, and follows the guidelines of the Green Festival Protocol adopted by the AFIC (Italian Film Festival Association), in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture.  –
D.G. Cinema and the Ministry of Ecological Transition, which indicates the actions to be taken in the process of environmental adaptation of film festivals.

For an edition that is as “green” as possible, the BFF is committed to multiple actions:

The outdoor screenings are powered by 100% renewable energy thanks to our partnership with PARTNER NAME

To help reduce waste, we provide separate waste collection islands in all official Festival locations.

The lighting is low consumption

We reduce the quantity of printed materials, favoring digital formats and the use of certified ecological paper and materials.

We take care of hospitality that is attentive to sustainability, favoring restaurants that use food and drink products from the local supply chain, to reduce the carbon footprint associated with transport, and we choose accommodation facilities close to the BFF headquarters.

We encourage sustainable mobility, favoring the use of electric (or low-emission) cars for all BFF service vehicles. We encourage employees, guests and the public to choose environmentally friendly transportation. To this end, we have entered into strategic partnerships with NAME PARTNER

We use recyclable gadgets. Our merchandise includes items made from recycled or sustainable materials, such as organic cotton bags and R-Pet badge holders.

We limit the use of single-use plastic by using reusable grocery bags, opting for reusable water bottles rather than plastic ones, and not using single-use plastic straws, plates, cutlery and cups.
